A practical, register-by-register checklist that turns an inspection notice from a fire drill into a routine review.
Inspection readiness is a documentation discipline, not an event. Keep the licence file, register file, contractor file and returns file separated and indexed.
Verify that muster rolls, wage registers and overtime registers reconcile with payroll output for the last twelve months. Discrepancies between attendance systems and wage registers are the single most cited finding.
Maintain contractor compliance evidence — RC, licence, PF/ESIC challans, wage sheets and Form V — for every active vendor, refreshed monthly.
